My inspiration came a little late on Friday night when I returned home from a long day of outings. (I saw The Help. Great movie!)
My lovely Grandma Bee, the same one who gave me the pickle dish, corresponds with me regularly. We always send little notes back and forth. Some are newsy, heartfelt or just little cartoon drawings that we doodle. I’ll have to post a few of her doodles some time. They are so my Grandma Bee that I feel like she is right there in the room with me.
On Friday night, I found this Oh-So-Me card in my mailbox with a funny little drawing of my grandma animating her life on the inside. They make me laugh and want to sit down to doodle myself!
This card was created by Papyrus. With each Papyrus card they package it with their mission statement. This was also part of the inspiration:
“Legends say that hummingbirds float free of time, carrying our hopes for love, joy and celebration. Like a hummingbird, we aspire to hover and savor each moment as it passes, embrace all that life has to offer and to celebrate the joy of everyday. The hummingbird’s delicate grace reminds us that life is rich, beauty is everywhere, every personal connection has meaning and that laughter is life’s sweetest creation.”
Beautiful, right? And that was my inspiration for the smile I carried all weekend long.
